HAPPY CREATING !

A HEART-WARMING NIGHT

Scholarship Committee chair Diane Phelps and Co-chair Sue Haan attended the Red Rock High School scholarship awards night on May 9th to present our $1,000 SVAC scholarship to a deserving senior.  The committee, with the help of Taylor Hellman, chose Sebastian White.  “Bash” is headed for Yavapai College in the fall as a filmmaking major.  His video submission to the committee showed a talented artist and earnest young man who admitted, “I have had a passion for filmmaking since I was 11.”  Bash also composes and shoots music videos.

Sue and Diane had a wonderful opportunity to meet and converse with Bash and his grateful, proud parents.  Bash promised us he would keep us up-to-date on studies and thanked us profusely for the scholarship.  It was a heart-warming experience and SVAC members should be proud of our scholarship program that makes a difference in a student’s future.
