What does 2020…A Clear Vision mean to you? Does it suggest visual acuity, perception, something metaphysical or seeing a challenge in a new light? We hope that you will embrace the title and create exciting new work for this exhibition.
SVAC exhibitions are always a wonderful opportunity for members to get to know one another and it promotes SVAC.
Will you be participating in an Open Studio Tour? SVAC’s Annual Exhibition is a wonderful way to showcase your art work.

APPLICATION DUE DATE: Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. NO late applications will be accepted. LABELS for art work will not be changed after December 9th and will appear as submitted in the on-line application. Be sure all information is accurate.
ENTRY FEE(S): Due Monday, Dec. 9th.
Up to 2 pieces may be submitted. (Entering a 2nd piece is optional.)
Fee for 1st piece: $35.00
Fee for 2nd piece: $20.00
Both fees are non-refundable. All payments must be made via PayPal on the SVAC Website.
ELIGIBILITY: Paid membership in the Sedona Visual Artists’ Coalition. Membership questions should be directed to Barbara Ragalyi, email@example.com, or (928) 284-3367.
SALES: Sales that are made at the exhibition will go directly to the artist and are not handled through SVAC. All participating artists’ contact information will be available in the gallery. It is acceptable to exhibit work that is not for sale.
ARTIST BOOK: Show participants get two 8” x 10” pages in the Artist Book which can include an Artist Bio, Artist Statement, Images, etc. These are due at Take-In, Tues. Feb. 4th.
GALLERY SITTERS: Every participating artist is REQUIRED to sit the show for one shift. Shifts are 3.5 hours, 10:00am – 1:30pm and 1:30pm – 5:00pm. If you cannot sit the show you will be required to pay a non-sitting fee of $15.00.
OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, Feb. 7th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm
All participants are required to bring finger food items to share at the reception. Also required is bringing a bottle of wine for the reception. Please bring the wine to Take-In on Tuesday, Feb. 4th. You may opt to pay $20.00 for food and wine to be purchased by our committee for you.
PRESS: Images due Mon., Dec. 9th.
Artists are encouraged to submit an image of their art work submissions to be considered in marketing efforts to promote the exhibition. Email your images (300 DPI, size 5” x 7” in high resolution) to Darleene Nelson: firstname.lastname@example.org.

6th Thurs Exhibition Opens to the Public
7th Friday Opening Reception, First Friday 5 – 8pm
18th Tues Take-Down 9am – 11am. Be on time.
ART WORK REQUIREMENTS:
UP TO 2 PIECES PER PERSON: No substituted art work will be accepted. If you plan a diptych or triptych, it must be arranged together as one single piece. This can be done with a single, stable backing. Diptych or triptych must be priced and titled as one single piece.
Art work must have been created in the past 6 months and not have been exhibited or appeared in a gallery or equivalent space in the greater Sedona area during that time. All work must be your own original work, not done in a workshop or with an instructor. Slightly enhanced or altered work will not be accepted.
LABELS for the art work will not be changed after the December 9th deadline and will appear as submitted in the on-line application.
Art work CANNOT be re-arranged or changed by the individual artists once the show is hung.
NO SUBSTITUTED art work will be accepted. Artists must bring the art work that they committed to the exhibition in the on-line application.
2-dimensional size requirements:
A maximum size of 48” High x 30” Wide x 5” deep (including frame). Art work to be hung on the wall must be properly framed and wired for hanging. NO saw-toothed hangers. The Hanging Committee will not hang inadequately framed work. Scratched, damaged, and/or soiled work will be rejected. Gallery wrap is acceptable. NO wet art work will be accepted. NO art work can protrude more than 5” from the wall. 3-D wall art must fit within the 2-D requirements.
NO GICLEE PRINTS: Only original art work will be accepted.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Original photographs are acceptable. A photographic reproduction of original art work is NOT acceptable.
3-dimensional, Sculpture/Installation Requirements:
A maximum of 60” High x 24” Wide x 24” Deep (including base) if no pedestal is required.
A maximum of 48” High x 18” Wide x 18” Deep (including base) if a pedestal is required.
Sculptures/Installations can weigh no more than 50 lbs.
Let us know if you need a pedestal or are bringing your own pedestal.
